Prior to Marquette (Wausau East HS): Hovda earned four letters in volleyball at Wausau East High School in addition to four in soccer...was named team co-captain during junior and senior year at East...earned first team all-conference honors as a senior as the only unanimous selection to the squad...also earned honorable mention all-state honors...Started every game while in high school. Personal: Hovda was born in Bemidji, Minn. to Rick and Chris Hovda as the first of two children...played on same club volleyball team as fellow MU freshman Danielle Carlson...plans to major in biomedical sciences. |
