Picked up 13 kills while hitting .478 (13-2-23) at Florida Gulf Coast (Sept. 13)... Set a new career-high in kills with 14 while hitting .355 (14-3-31) in a win over Illinois State (Sept. 25)... Tied her career high with 14 kills in a win at DePaul (Sept. 28) ... Named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll on Oct. 14 after hitting .500 at Creighton with 12 kills... High School: Niemann earned three letters in volleyball at Kettle Moraine Lutheran ... Was a three-time conference, sectional and regional champion at KML ... Served as team captain as a senior, during which she recorded 374 kills with 106 blocks while hitting .324 ...Named to the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Third Team as a senior in 2011 ... Also named conference player of the year as a senior ... Listed by PrepVolleyball.com as one of the nation's top-250 collegiate prospects ... Played for head coach Rachel Kuehl at Kettle Moraine Lutheran ... Played club volleyball with the West Bend Power (soph. year) and Fond du Lac Fusion ... Also earned three letters in both basketball and track and field ... Was the Wisconsin Division 2 state high jump champion as a senior and earned all-conference honors in both track and basketball.

Niemann, who was born in Overland Park, Kan., is the oldest of four children to Randy and Nancy Niemann ... Plans to major in elementary education.
