High School:

Rachel Vidourek

Volleyball Freshman Orientation: Rachel Vidourek

Vidourek is one of two freshmen at middle hitter

Shymansky on Vidourek:
"Rachel Vidourek is more like Holly (Mertens) and Carol (Henney) with what she can do as a faster hitter with speed and power. She moves well and hits well off of one foot, which is obviously a big part of our offensive system. Rachel gets off the ground very quick, and she has the drive and work ethic that fits our team character and chemistry. Vidourek is a valued addition to pick up where those four seniors left off."

High School: Vidourek led Talawanda High School (Oxford, Ohio) to a 21-2 overall mark and a Southwest Ohio Conference championship as a senior in 2012 ... In 61 sets played as a senior, Vidouek racked up 346 kills (5.67 kills per set) and a hitting percentage of .620 (346-33-561), earning her the conference's athlete of the year award ... Earned conference player of the year award, team MVP and first team all-conference honors as both a junior and senior under head coach Erine Gilbert ... Helped Talawanda to conference titles in 2011 and 2012 ... Earned three letters in volleyball with the final two coming at Talawanda after transferring high schools ... She was a member of the Elevation Volleyball Club's Junior Olympic team.

Personal: Vidourek was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and is the oldest of six children to Kevin and Holly Vidourek ... Has five younger siblings, Joe, Sam, Nathan, Luke and Jake ... Plans to major in physician assistant studies.
