2005 (Sophomore): Renfrow shared time at the setter's spot with Katie Weidner appearing in 29 of 30 matches. Set a then career high 20 assists in the season opener against North Dakota State (Aug. 26). Topped that mark with 26 helpers at UNC Greensboro on Sept. 17 and then with career best 34 assists against Seton Hall on Nov. 4. Registered a career high seven kills in back-to-back matches at Connecticut and against Villanova to average 46.7 percent hitting for those matches. Added a career high five blocks against Seton Hall. 2004 (Freshman): Monica Renfrow saw action in 11 matches, even earning three starts as a defensive specialist. She had double figures in digs in two of those matches, recording 12 digs against Tulane (Nov. 5) and 10 against Southern Miss (Nov. 6) in back-to-back matches. She also had four and five assists respectively. She set a season high with seven assists against UAB (Oct. 16). She also recorded five assists against Md.-Eastern Shore (Sept. 25). Prior to Marquette: A four-year letterwinner for Linda McLean and Nikki Galler at Normal West, Renfrow was three-time all-conference selection. She was captain of her team as a senior and captain of her club team in 2003-04. She was also an Academic Scholar Athlete all four years in high school. Additionally, she helped her club team place third at Junior Olympics in Salt Lake City. Personal: Monica Rae Renfrow was born August 5, 1986, in Bloomington, Ill. She is the daughter of DeDe and Lonnie Grove and Stacy and Ted Renfrow. She has an older brother, T.J. and a younger brother, Andrew. Her uncle and father were college basketball players and her mother was a volleyball player in college. She is a public relations major.
