Middle hitter got her start in high school

2013: Made her collegiate debut against DePaul (Oct. 19), notching five kills in the three-set sweep... Tabbed seven kills in three-set victory over Creighton (Oct. 25)... Collected a season high nine kills and hit .500 in a 3-2 match victory at Seton Hall (Nov. 15)... Notched four kills and added two assists in 3-1 victory over Butler (Nov. 23) ... Led Marquette with 1.14 blocks per set as a freshman, while seeing action in 57 of 116 sets ... Started final 16 matches of the season at middle hitter...Recorded three kills and three digs in a win over Georgetown (Oct. 3)...

High School: Schnurr comes to Marquette after helping her Standley Lake High School squad reach a double-digit win total for the first time since 2007 as a senior in 2012 ... The 6-foot-4 middle hitter did not start playing volleyball competitively until her freshman season and blossomed as a senior ... In 2012, Schnurr led Standley Lake in almost every statistical category, including kills (477), hitting percentage (.324) and blocks (52) ... A two-time team captain and most valuable player (2011 and 2012) ... Named first team all-conference as a senior and second team all-conference as a junior while playing for head coach Ben Thompson.

Personal: Schnurr was born in Boise, Idaho and is the oldest of two children to Rod and Kristin Schnurr ... Has a younger brother, Ty ... Plans to major in business.
