MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's volleyball team suffered a sweep at the hands of No. 3 USC (25-16, 25-19, 25-14) on Friday evening at the Al McGuire Center in the Marquette Challenge.

The Golden Eagles (1-2) hit just .045 in the loss with 24 attack errors and 28 kills, while USC hit a combined .300 (37-10-90).

Freshman Autumn Bailey paced MU with eight kills, but also recorded six attack errors on the evening.

The Trojans improve to 5-0 with the victory and claimed the tournament title with a 3-1 victory over TCU in the morning session.

Reigning Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Week Ebony Nwanebu led USC with 10 kills and hit .320 in the match, while Emily Young added eight kills on 12 swings.

Marquette returns to action Saturday at noon against TCU at the Al McGuire Center in the finale of the Marquette Challenge.
