MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette University women's volleyball team swept Loyola in straight sets (25-15, 25-11, 25-17) Friday evening in its home opener and the opening match of the 2017 Marquette Invitational.

Allie Barber keyed the Golden Eagles (4-3) with 13 kills and a .478 hitting percentage, while freshman Hope Werch notched six kills and redshirt junior Jenna Rosenthal added five. Rosenthal also served four aces in the match.

Sophomore setter Lauren Speckman tallied 31 assists and seven digs, while freshman Martha Konovodoff followed up her Big East Defensive Player of the Week award with 12 digs, which was a match-high.

The Ramblers were led by Morgan Gresham's 10 kills and Delilah Wolf's 20 assists. Marquette held Loyola to a .108 hitting percentage led by freshman Elizabeth Orf's four assisted blocks and combined to hit .370 as a squad, including a stellar .444 clip in the swift second set where the Golden Eagles held Loyola to negative hitting at a -.038 mark.
