MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's volleyball team won its fifth consecutive match on Saturday afternoon as the squad blanked crosstown opponent, Milwaukee, 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-21) in the Marquette Invitational.

Redshirt sophomore Taylor Louis led Marquette (9-2) with 10 kills, no errors and a .333 clip, while redshirt senior Meghan Niemann landed nine kills, no errors and recorded a blistering .750 hitting percentage. Niemann also tallied two assisted blocks and is just eight short of tying MU's all-time record.

Senior Sara Blasier and freshman Lauren Speckman shared setting duties as Blasier handed out 19 assists, while Speckman gave out 15. Senior libero Lauren Houg collected 15 digs.

The Golden Eagles combined for a .327 hitting percentage with just nine errors, while holding Milwaukee (6-5) to just a .196 clip.

Bridge Wallenberger led the Panthers with 11 kills and a .417 clip, while Jenn Dore dished out 35 assists and collected 11 digs for a double-double.

The Golden Eagles will take on Missouri State at 7 p.m., which will conclude the Marquette Invitational. MUTV will produce the live broadcast which will air at for free.
