CHICAGO--The Marquette University women's volleyball team has now won six consecutive matches after sweeping DePaul, 25-20, 25-17, 25-20 on Saturday night at McGrath-Phillips Arena.

Redshirt freshman Taylor Louis paved the way for Marquette (18-7, 9-3) with 18 kills and just three errors to hit .375 in the match, while classmate Jenna Rosenthal slammed down eight kills and Meghan Niemann landed six with no errors leading to a .545 clip. Junior Sara Blasier recorded her ninth double-double of the season dishing out 32 assists and recording 14 digs. Ellen Hays also collected 14 digs.

After winning the first two sets with relative ease, 25-20 and 25-17, respectively, DePaul (13-11, 2-10) gave the Golden Eagles trouble in the third frame and jumped out to a 5-2 lead before MU called timeout to get back on track. Prior to the third, the Blue Demons led just three times in the entire match. A slew of attack errors from DePaul, along with MU's offense finding a groove and the Golden Eagles used a 7-2 run to go in front, 15-14 in the third set following a combined block from Louis and Niemann. After regaining control in the set, MU did not look back as an ace from Blasier secured the sweep for the Golden Eagles.

MU finished the night with a .289 hitting percentage, including .393 in the third frame, while holding the Blue Demons to just .137 on the night. Jameson Macphie led DePaul with 13 kills.

Marquette will return home for two matches, which will serve as the final home matches of the season. The Golden Eagles host Creighton on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. Central time before welcoming Georgetown on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. CT. The match against Creighton will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network, while Saturday's match is senior night.
