The Bulldogs (11-19, 7-10) opened the match strong, jumping out to a 6-2 lead in the first frame, but a slew of errors from Butler, along with three straight kills from Louis and MU had pulled away to a 14-10 advantage. MU firmly dominated the second stanza and had pushed to a 15-6 lead in the third after Meghan Niemann connected on a kill. Butler scored four straight points with two aces and two kills, to close the gap at 18-12, but Riley Burchett served for four points and two errors from the Bulldogs ended the match.

The Golden Eagles conclude the regular season on Saturday with a contest at Xavier. The match will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network via FOX Sports Go and will begin at 6 p.m. Central time.
