Volleyball Announces 2012 Spring Schedule

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's volleyball team has released its schedule for the upcoming 2012 spring season. 

Marquette will begin its spring campaign by hosting a tournament at the Al McGuire Center on Saturday, March 24. MU will welcome Green Bay, Northern Illinois, Loyola and Wisconsin for the all-day tournament, which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

Milwaukee will make the trip across town to the Al McGuire Center on Thursday, March 29 for a matchup with the Golden Eagles at 7 p.m.

Admission will be free to the tournament and the match against Panthers.

The month of April will again feature a match and tournament for the Golden Eagles. On Thursday, April 5, MU will travel down to Evanston, Ill., for a match against Northwestern at 4 p.m. 

To close out the spring season, Marquette will take on some of the region's best teams when it heads to the Great Lakes Center 2012 Collegiate Tournament in Aurora, Ill., on April 14. Joining MU at the tournament will be Bradley, DePaul, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Milwaukee, Missouri State and Wisconsin.

The Golden Eagles will compete in pool C with Iowa and Michigan State and depending on the results will advance to the gold, silver or bronze division.
