MILWAUKEE — Marquette University women’s volleyball team continued spring play on Saturday, April 5 with two straight-set victories and a tie at the Al McGuire Center.

Marquette swept Loyola-Chicago 2-0 (25-19, 25-19) and Northern Illinois 2-0 (25-20, 25-19) and split a pair of sets with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, 22-25, 25-19.

“I was really pleased to see us block over three balls a set,” first-year head coach Ryan Theis said. “We have been working on (our net-front presence) and I think our defense is getting stingy.”

The Golden Eagles travel to Madison, Wis., to face Wisconsin on Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the UW Field House to conclude their spring schedule.
