MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women’s volleyball team will continue its fall slate this weekend when it takes on in-state foe Wisconsin, on Saturday, Apr. 9 at the UW Field House, with first serve scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.

The Golden Eagles will look to build off of their first match, when they took two-of-three sets from another Big Ten opponent, Northwestern. The spring match for the Badgers will be their first this season, and one of two contests with the Golden Eagles this month.

Meghan Niemann and Taylor Louis will lead the Golden Eagles into Madison, after registering nine kills each in MU’s contest against Northwestern. Junior libero Lauren Houg will continue to lead the defensive effort, recording 14 digs against NU.

Wisconsin finished last season with a 26-7 record, and advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament before falling to Florida in five sets. They will be led by three All-Americans in Lauren Carlini, Haleigh Nelson and Tionna Williams.

Fans can attend the match for free in Madison, or follow live stats at SidearmStats.com.

After the matchup with UW, Marquette will stay in the Big Ten to play Illinois at Mother McCauley High School at 2 p.m. CT.
