MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's volleyball team will open its spring season Wednesday night when it hosts Wisconsin at 6 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center. Admission is free.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a 2007 campaign where they went 10-16 overall. Marquette returns nine players to the squad and welcome one newcomer in Laira Akin.

The Badgers match with the Golden Eagles will also be their first of the spring season. Wisconsin won 26 games in 2007 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
