Volleyball Hosts Final Spring Match vs. Northwestern Thursday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's volleyball team will face Northwestern in its final spring scrimmage at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 at the Al McGuire Center.
Prior to the scrimmage with the Wildcats, Marquette will host an open team practice from 4:30-5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner break before the contest. The event is free and open for all to attend.
Northwestern defeated Marquette 3-1 during the 2012 regular season in the title match of the Marquette Challenge on Aug. 26 at the Al McGuire Center. Freshman Erin Lehman led MU with 14 kills in the match and earned all-tournament honors along with teammate Danielle Carlson.
The Golden Eagles took first in the silver bracket at the Great Lakes Center Collegiate Tournament for the second year in a row on Saturday, April 6 and will conlude the spring season against Northwestern.
Thursday's match will mark the end of the spring campaign for Marquette, which has played in a pair of tournaments and hosted two individual matches this spring.
