MILWAUKEE - Marquette University's three-person 2014 women's volleyball signing class earned highest honorable mention recognition by PrepVolleyball.com, ranking it as one of the top 56 hauls in the nation.

The group includes 5-foot-11 setter Gabby Benda of Raleigh, North Carolina, 6-foot-2 outside hitter Taylor Louis of Evanston, Illinois and 6-foot-5 middle hitter Jenna Rosenthal of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

"This class is going to have an incredibly successful four years at Marquette," first-year MU head coach Ryan Theis said. "Gabby is a really accurate setter and all three are very physical players. Taylor and Jenna will score a lot of points and take up a lot of space along the net."

In addition to Benda, Louis and Rosenthal, defensive specialist Ellen Hays, a transfer from Toledo, will join the Golden Eagles for the 2014 season, which begins on Saturday, Aug. 30 against UC-Santa Barbara in Fort Collins, Colorado.
