Marquette University volleyball players Terri Angst, Jenn Brown, Jessica Kieser, Katie Weidner along with head coach Pati Rolf teamed up with Brookfield Academy on Tuesday to send support to Iraqi school children in the Harwan Village.

The Harwan School consists of 150 students who are in need of school supplies. The Marquette players brought backpacks filled with spiral notebooks and pens and worked with the Brookfield Academy summer school students to fill them. Included in the backpacks were bracelets for the girls, which were handmade by the summer school students in the morning.

The Marquette volleyball team adopted a troop in Iraq who then adopted the Harwan School. Sending the backpacks was a way to show support of the troop. The summer school students also made cards for the service men and women to send out along with the backpacks.
