Third Team All-American Reily Buechler is one of the Bruins top returners for 2017.

No. 22 San Diego is the third and final squad MU will meet in the Aloha State on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 7:45 p.m. CT. The Toreros ended 2016 with a 24-6 mark overall and 15-3 in conference action, culminating in an NCAA Tournament berth. The Marquette University women's volleyball program will face Hawai'i, UCLA and San Diego for the first time in its now-41 years of existence, and in which it holds a 719-679-5 overall record. Head coach Ryan Theis enters his fourth year at the helm of the Golden Eagles and looks to build upon a successful 2016 season where the team went 23-9 overall (13-5 BIG EAST) and reached the NCAA Tournament for the sixth consecutive year.
