MILWAUKEE - Senior women's volleyball setter Nikki Klingsporn was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll announced by league officials Monday. Klingsporn helped MU to a 2-1 weekend at the Golden Gopher Invite and was named to the all-tournament team.

Klingsporn recorded 40 assists and 10 digs in the Saturday night against No. 6 Minnesota, and tallied 38 assists and seven digs in a 3-0 win over Denver on Saturday afternoon. On Friday, she led all players with 34 assists in a 3-0 sweep of Stony Brook.

Entering week's play, Klingsporn leads the most powerful offense in the BIG EAST as Marquette is ranked No. 1 in hitting percentage, assists, and kills. Klingsporn also leads the league in assists, averaging 12.44 per set.

This is her second league mention since she earned BIG EAST Honor Roll recognition on Sept. 14, 2009 for her play at the Panther Invitational, during which she recorded a career-high 62 assists against Western Michigan

Marquette enters the Stanford Invitational with a 2-1 record and will face UC Irvine on Friday, Sept. 3 and Stanford on Saturday before traveling to Saint Mary's (Calif.) on Sunday.
