Newcomer Notes: Ellen Hays
Sept. 4, 2014
MILWAUKEE - Sophomore defensive specialist Ellen Hays transferred into Marquette over the summer from the University of Toledo, where she earned All-Mid-American Conference Freshman Team honors as a libero in 2013. Hays notched a Toledo single-season record 568 digs while playing as the Rockets' libero in every match.
She made her first start for the Golden Eagles in their match last Sunday against then-No. 18 Colorado State and also saw action against VCU on Saturday.
Hays took time with GoMarquette.com to answer a few questions as she enters her first season at MU.
