MILWAUKEE - Marquette senior women's volleyball player Nikki Klingsporn was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Volleyball Honor Roll for the second-straight week, the conference office announced Monday.

Klingsporn helped the Golden Eagles to a 1-2 weekend in California, helping MU sweep UC Irvine, 3-0, before falling to No. 3 Stanford, 3-1, and (RV) St. Mary's (Calif.), 3-2. The native of Oakdale, Minn. extended her double-double streak to four matches with highs of 58 assists at St. Mary's and 12 digs against Stanford. 

She was also named to the Stanford Invitational All-Tournament team along with teammate Rabbecka Gonyo. It was the second-consecutive week the pair earned all-tournament honors after earning similar honors at the Golden Gopher Invite on Aug. 28.

The Golden Eagles return to action Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Creighton in the Marquette/UW-Milwaukee Invitational. All Marquette matches this coming weekend will be streamed live, free of charge on MUTube, GoMarquette.com's all-access player.
