Taylor Louis is BIG EAST Player of the Week

NEW YORK--For the second consecutive week Marquette University women's volleyball redshirt sophomore Taylor Louis was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Louis posted an impressive 6.35 points, 5.70 kills per set to lead the league last week and was named the Most Valuable Player of the Marquette Invitational as the Golden Eagles went 3-0 against Iowa State, Milwaukee and Missouri State. Marquette dropped just one set over the weekend.
The Skokie, Illinois native hit .278 with 1.60 digs per set three aces and six blocks. She had a near double-double against Missouri State with a season-best 28 kills and nine digs. Louis’ 23.0 points against Iowa State was a league high for three sets, as was her 29.5 points against Missouri State a four-set match high. She is second in the league overall in kills per set (4.50) and points per set (5.10).
The Golden Eagles open BIG EAST play this weekend traveling to Creighton on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. Central time before heading to Providence on Sunday, Oct. 9 at Noon CT. Friday's match against the Bluejays will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
