MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's volleyball team returns to action in the finale of the Marquette Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center against cross-town foe the University of Wisconsin-Milwuakee.

The Golden Eagles (5-4) dropped their fourth match of the season to a ranked squad on Friday evening, falling to No. 4 Florida in straight sets at the Al McGuire Center (25-21, 25-21, 25-13). Freshman outside hitter Autumn Bailey paced MU with 10 kills and 13 digs, while the Gators out-hit Marquette .317 to .146.

Golden Eagles Sweep Milwaukee 25-15, 25-11, 25-22
The Marquette University women's volleyball team made quick work of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Tuesday evening at the Klotsche Center for its 21st win of the season, sweeping the Panthers 25-15, 25-11, 25-22.

The match against the Panthers marks the 76th meeting all-time between the two programs, of which MU has won the last six.

MILWAUKEE [ | @UWMVolleyball]: Milwaukee, which plays No. 4 Florida on Saturday evening, is coming off a tough five-set loss to Iowa on Tuesday in which it dropped its home opener after leading two-sets-to-one. The Panthers took the second and third sets against the Hawkeyes and sat at match point twice in the final frame (14-13 and 15-14) before Iowa closed out the contest. Milwaukee has played a stiff opening schedule with losses to Oklahoma, Western Michigan, Northwestern and Wisconsin in addition to a sweep over Bowling Green, a common opponent with MU. Four players are averaging at least two kills per set for the Panthers, including preseason Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year Rachel Neuberger at 2.92. Milwaukee head coach Susie Johnson is in her seventh season on the east side and is assisted by former Marquette AVCA All-American Nikki Klingsporn (2009-10). Series history: UWM leads 46-28-1.
