MILWAUKEE - Marquette University outside hitter Autumn Bailey earned BIG EAST Conference Freshman of the Week honors for the third time this season on Monday, Sept. 23, while junior right-side hitter Lindsey Gosh earned mention on the league's weekly honor roll for the second time in as many weeks.

Bailey and Gosh helped the Golden Eagles to sweeps of in-state foes Green Bay and Milwaukee last week and a loss to then-No. 4 Florida on Friday evening.

Bailey led Marquette against the Phoenix on Tuesday, Sept. 17 with a match-high 11 kills, while hitting .611 in the contest. The Burlington, Ontario native also paced MU with 3.56 kills per set on the week and notched her sixth double-double of the year against the Gators with 10 kills and 13 digs.

Gosh proved to be too much to handle from the service line as the Oconomowoc, Wis., native landed 10 service aces in the wins over Milwaukee and Green Bay, including a career-high six against the Panthers in just three sets. The junior leads the conference and ranks fourth in all of NCAA Division I with 0.67 aces per set on the season and hit a combined .386 in the three matches last week.

The Golden Eagles welcome Illinois State to the Al McGuire Center on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. before beginning BIG EAST Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 28 at DePaul.
