MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women's volleyball team will host DePaul on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6:00 p.m. CT in BIG EAST Conference action. The game will stream live for free on

The Golden Eagles are looking to bounce back after being swept 3-0 (23-25, 16-25, 19-25) on Wednesday night. Junior Joy Miley was the lone Golden Eagle to reach double digit kills and led the team with 10. Meghan Niemann hit .500 committing no errors in the match. Junior setter Sara Blasier dished out 22 assists, while libero Lauren Houg collected 13 digs.

DePaul had an 11-match win-streak snapped on Wednesday as the Blue Demons fell in five sets to Butler. Sophomore Caitlyn Coffey leads the BIG EAST with a .420 hitting percentage and is averaging 2.98 kills per set. DePaul as a squad leads the league in team hitting percentage at a .264 clip and the Blue Demons are fourth overall in kills per set at 13.37.

Marquette will be Lacing Up for Pediatric Cancer and wear Gold Laces during Saturday's match against DePaul. September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and Marquette Volleyball is Going for the Goal and Golding Out the Al McGuire Center. You can help by wearing gold on Saturday night. DEPAUL [11-2 (0-1 BIG EAST) | | @DePaul_vball]: After starting the season 0-1, the Blue Demons went on an 11-match winning streak and entered conference play with an 11-1 record. Butler snapped that streak on Wednesday night in a five-set match. Colleen Smith recorded a triple double for DePaul with 46 assists, 10 kills and 10 digs. Caitlyn Coffey leads the BIG EAST with a .420 hitting percentage and is averaging 2.98 kills per set. DePaul as a squad leads the league in team hitting percentage at a .264 clip. The Blue Demons are also holding opponents to just a .207 hitting percentage. Series History: DePaul leads 29-25

• Marquette fell 3-0 to Xavier on Wednesday night, which was the first time MU has dropped a BIG EAST lidlifter since the 2010 season when the squad was swept, 3-0 by former member South Florida.

Taylor Louis was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for her all-tournament team performance at the Marquette Invitational last weekend. This is her fourth straight conference honor in as many weeks as she was also named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Aug. 31 and the BIG EAST honor roll on Sept. 7 and Sept. 14. Redshirt junior Meghan Niemann was selected as BIG EAST Player of the Week on Aug. 31.

Taylor Louis' 5.24 kills per set leads the NCAA and she is third in total kills with 267. Also in the top-25 among national rankings is junior libero Lauren Houg who leads the BIG EAST with 5.27 digs per set and ranks 15th in the NCAA. Sara Blasier is third in the league with 10.66 assists per set, while Jenna Rosenthal is third in blocks per set with 1.20.

• As a squad Marquette is establishing itself as one of the top teams in the BIG EAST Conference. The Golden Eagles are third overall in assists, dishing out 12.94 per set, which is 48th nationally, while the squad is second in digs with 16.51 per contest. Xavier is the league leader in digs at 17.56 per set. MU is third in the league with 13.69 kills per set, ranking 56th in the NCAA.

• MU is in the middle of a six-match homestand to close out the month of September. Since the 2011 season the Golden Eagles are 54-14 at the Al McGuire Center, including an 11-3 record in 2014.

• Three different MU players have tallied double-doubles this season. Sara Blasier has recorded four (8/28 vs. North Dakota, 8/29 vs. Dayton, 9/4 vs. Oral Roberts, 9/19 vs. IUPUI), Taylor Louis has also tallied four (9/4 vs. Oral Roberts, 9/5 vs. Miami, 9/18 vs. Wichita State, 9/19 vs. Albany), and Mary Nilles posted one against Northern Colorado on 9/12.

Ellen Hays collected a career-best 21 digs in a win over IUPUI on Sept. 19 which toppled her previous career high of 16 digs.

Taylor Louis posted a career-best 30 kills in a 3-1 victory at Missouri State on Sept. 5, which is the second-highest kills total by a BIG EAST player this season. Louis has the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth-highest kills total in a match by a league player.

• Marquette earned the AVCA team academic award for the 2014-15 season. The Golden Eagles combined for a 3.34 GPA during the 2014-15 academic year to earn the team award for the third straight year. Seven returning student-athletes earned the 2014-15 BIG EAST All-Academic Team award for posting a GPA of 3.0 or better.
