BIG EAST Release in PDF Format

MILWAUKEE -- Junior Caryn Mastandrea was named to the BIG EAST Conference volleyball Honor Roll for the second time this year, the BIG EAST announced Monday.

Over the weekend, Mastandrea led the Golden Eagles to a 1-1 record with a victory Friday night over reigning BIG EAST Champion St. John's and a loss on Sunday to Connecticut.

In the win over St. John's, Mastandrea registered a career-.high with 19 digs to go along with seven kills and 39 assists. Against UConn, she recorded 32 assists, three kills and two digs.

Mastandrea was also named to the Honor Roll for the week of Sept. 15, following her performance in the Marquette Challenge.

Marquette (7-8, 2-1 BIG EAST) returns to action on Friday at USF before traveling to play Georgetown on Sunday.
