Niemann Earns Spot on BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORKMarquette University women's volleyball redshirt senior Meghan Niemann was selected to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll, the league office announced on Monday.
Niemann averaged 1.86 kills and 1.43 blocks per set in a 1-1 week for Marquette, which included a 3-0 sweep over Providence before dropping a close 3-1 match to first-place Creighton. The Jackson, Wisconsin native set her second career record this season as she became the Golden Eagles' all-time total blocks leader tallying seven blocks in the Creighton match. She eclipses Martha Meyers' mark of 432, which has held since 1997.
The Golden Eagles will take to the road this weekend and face Villanova on Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. Central time before traveling to Georgetown to face the Hoyas on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. CT.
