MILWAUKEE - Marquette outside hitter Autumn Bailey was named BIG EAST Conference Freshman of the Week for the fifth time this season and senior setter Elizabeth Koberstein was named to the league's honor roll, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles are receiving votes (eight points) in Monday's AVCA Coaches Poll and sit one match ahead of Creighton (15-5, 6-2) and Xavier (15-8, 6-2) in the BIG EAST standings. They are also 14th nationally in NCAA Division I RPI, the highest such mark in program history.

Bailey led the Golden Eagles (15-5, 7-1 BIG EAST) to sweeps over Creighton, Villanova and Georgetown last week with a team-best 4.78 kills and 5.28 points per set. The Burlington, Ontario native landed 13 kills and hit .303 with 11 digs on Friday, Oct. 25 as MU swept Creighton to move into sole possession of the BIG EAST lead.

The freshman also earned the award on Sept. 2, Sept. 9, Sept. 23 and Oct. 7.

Koberstein paced Marquette to a .319 combined hitting percentage in the three matches and averaged 12.56 assists per set. She now sits ninth in NCAA Division I with 11.70 assists per set on the season.

Marquette returns to action on Friday, Nov. 1 at Butler and will play at Xavier on Saturday evening in Cincinnati.
