NEW YORK – Marquette University senior right-side hitter Lindsey Gosh and sophomore outside Autumn Bailey were named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for women’s volleyball, the league announced Monday afternoon.

The pair helped the Golden Eagles (19-6, 10-3 BIG EAST) to sweeps of Butler and Xavier over the weekend as MU picked up 10 wins in league play for the fifth-consecutive campaign. Gosh averaged 3.17 kills per set and hit .415 with just two hitting errors all weekend. She notched 13 kills to lead MU in its sweep of Butler, while hitting .462 against the Bulldogs.

Bailey landed 4.33 kills per set and reached double-digit kills in each match. The Burlington, Ontario, native also contributed 3.67 digs per frame along with 1.33 blocks, registering four blocks in each sweep.

The honor marks the fifth time this season that Bailey has been honored by the league and the third such honor for Gosh.

The Golden Eagles return to action in a 7 p.m. Tuesday match across town against the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, MU head coach Ryan Theis’ alma mater, at the Klotsche Center. The contest will be broadcast live through the Horizon League Network and tape-delayed on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel in Wisconsin. The first airing will be Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
