MILWAUKEE--Marquette volleyball redshirt junior Meghan Niemann has been named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll for the second straight week, and the third time this season. Niemann helped MU to a 1-1 record in conference play last week.

The Jackson, Wis. native averaged 2.17 kills and hit .400 in two matches for the Golden Eagles and also tallied 1.50 blocks per set.

In Marquette's sweep over Georgetown Niemann landed eight kills and recorded a stellar .462 hitting percentage, while adding a team-high five blocks.

In addition to three mentions on the weekly honor roll, Niemann was also selected as BIG EAST Player of the Week on Aug. 31.

The Golden Eagles have four regular season matches remaining and can lock up the final available spot in the BIG EAST Tournament with one victory in those four matches. MU travels to St. John's on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m. Central time before heading to Providence at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday.
