Caryn Mastandrea Named to the BIG EAST Conference Volleyball Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE -- Junior setter Caryn Mastandrea was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the second consecutive week and the fourth time this season, the BIG EAST Conference announced Monday.
Last week Mastandrea led the Golden Eagles (10-15, 4-8 BIG EAST) to a 1-1 week with a win over Villanova on Saturday and a loss at Seton Hall on Sunday.
Mastandrea narrowly missed a triple-double against Villanova with seven kills, 43 assists and 10 digs, while at Seton Hall she recorded the first Marquette triple-double since Sarah Vernon accomplished the feat on Oct. 30, 2004 against St. Louis. In the match against the Pirates, Mastandrea contributed 11 kills, 48 assists and 16 digs to go along with three blocks.
Mastandrea and the Golden Eagles return to action Friday at the Al McGuire Center at 7 p.m. when the host West Virginia before welcoming Pittsburgh on Sunday. Sunday against the Panters is senior day and the match will be streamed live on GoMarquette.com by MUTV.
