Meghan Niemann is BIG EAST Player of the Week

Marquette volleyball redshirt junior Meghan Niemann has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week after helping the Golden Eagles clinch a berth in the BIG EAST Tournament in a 1-1 weekend for the squad.
The Jackson, Wis. native averaged 3.00 kills per set and hit .489 in the two matches at St. John's and at Providence. Niemann landed 15 kills with just one error at St. John's and totaled nine kills with no errors in a sweep at Providence. She also averaged 1.50 blocks through the two matches, totaling nine against the Red Storm.
This is the fifth weekly honor for Niemann this season and her second Player of the Week award after earning the honor in volleyball's opening weekend of play.
Marquette concludes the regular season at Butler on Friday, Nov. 20 before traveling to Xavier on Saturday, Nov. 21. Though a spot in the conference tournament has been clinched seeding in spots No. 2- No. 4 are still up for grabs.
