MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's volleyball team returns to action Friday in Kalamazoo, Mich., for the Holiday Inn West Bronco Thanksgiving Challenge. The Golden Eagles (11-16, 5-9 BIG EAST) will take on host Western Michigan Friday at 6 p.m. CT and Miami (Ohio) Saturday at 4:30 p.m. CT.

"We are excited to play top teams in Western Michigan and Miami this weekend," said interim head coach Erica Heisser. "It is extremely important for us to finish the season on a high, positive note. Every game is a chance for the girls to learn how to handle challenges and tough situations."

Marquette enters the Thanksgiving weekend tournament on the heels of a 1-1 home stand, which saw the Golden Eagles give Heisser her first win as a head coach against West Virginia on Nov. 14.

Western Michigan (25-5, 14-2 MAC) is coming off a 3-1 loss to Ohio in the Mid-American Conference Championship and is looking to build its resume for a potential at-large NCAA Tournament bid.
