As a member of the dance team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the excitement of the BIG EAST
and
Marquette Athletics. From dancing in front
of 18,000 enthusiastic fans at the BMO Harris
Bradley Center for men's
basketball games,
to acting as a representative of the University at various athletic and community events,
you will have the chance to be a part
of the Blue & Gold family.
Learn Pom, Hip-Hop and Jazz
from a nationally renowned choreographer to showcase your style in front of a sold out crowd
at men's
and women's
basketball
games.
By becoming a member of the Marquette spirit squad, you will become a part of a team
that embodies the tradition that is Marquette University.
Also, each year you will have the chance to travel to New York City, all other
NCAA Tournament sites, and appear on television in front of
a national audience!
Marquette Dance Team Clinic and Try-Out Information
All clinics and try-outs will be held at the Al McGuire Center (770 N. 12th St, Milwaukee). If you are interested but unable to attend the clinics and try-out, please contact Mary Larkin, as you are still able to submit a DVD of required skills. These materials must be received by Sunday, April 28, 2013. Please email mary.larkin@marquette.edu for further information.
SPRING 2013
Clinic:
Saturday, April 27 at 9:00a.m.
Try-Outs:
Sunday, April 28th at 9:00a.m.
FALL 2013
Clinic:
Saturday, September 7th at 9:30a.m. to 3:00p.m. (a break will be given during the early afternoon)
Try-Outs:
Sunday, September 8th at 9:30a.m. to 12:00noon
NOTE: Clinics and Try-Outs will be held at the A l McGuire Center. Make sure to bring your health insurance card or a front and back photocopy of the card. You must have this in order to participate in clinics and try-outs. Shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes should be worn. No silk, nylon, or lycra shorts should be worn for stunting purposes.
