Stunt Clinics and Try-Out Information
Our cheerleading team is a co-ed squad specializing in partner stunts and pyramids.
When you become a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the excitement of the
and Marquette Athletics. From cheering on our basketball team with chants of "WE ARE MARQUETTE" in front
of 18,000 enthusiastic fans at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, to taking part in one of the many winning MU athletic programs,
you will have the chance to be a part of the Blue & Gold family.
As a member of the Marquette spirit squad, you will become a part of a team that embodies the tradition that is
The team is made up of nine females and nine males who cheer at all men's and women's home basketball
The Golden Eagles squad also makes appearances representing
the University at various alumni, athletic, charitable and public
In addition, you will have the chance to travel to
New York City, all other NCAA Tournament sites, and
appear on television in front of a national audience!
Becoming a member of the team is a full year commitment, and members are selected from Fall try-outs. Clinics will be held before try-outs to teach basic stunting techniques, sideline cheers, and fight song motions.
In addition to stunting and sharp motions, members of the team are encouraged to have strong tumbling skills,
with a standing back handspring being a minimum requirement.

Wednesday, September 4th 2013 , at 6:30p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Thursday, September 5th 2013, at 6:30p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Sunday, September 8th at 12:00noon to 2:00p.m.
NOTE: Clinics and Try-Outs will be held at the Al McGuire Center. Make sure to bring your health insurance card or a front and back photocopy of the card. You must have this in order to participate in clinics and try-outs. Shorts, t-shirts, and tennis shoes should be worn. No silk, nylon, or lycra shorts should be worn for stunting purposes.
