Welcome to the official page of Marquette University Cheerleading!
Our cheerleading team is a co-ed squad specializing in partner stunts and pyramids. When you become a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the excitement of the BIG EAST and Marquette Athletics. From cheering on our basketball team with chants of "WE ARE MARQUETTE" in front of 18,000 enthusiastic fans at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, to taking part in one of the many winning MU athletic programs, you will have the chance to be a part of the Blue & Gold family.
As a member of the Marquette spirit squad, you will become a part of a team that embodies the tradition that is Marquette University.
The team is made up of nine females and nine males who cheer at all men's and women's home basketball games.
The Golden Eagles squad also makes appearances representing the University at various alumni, athletic, charitable and public
relations activities. In addition, you will have the chance to travel to New York City, all other NCAA Tournament sites, and
appear on television in front of a national audience!
Becoming a member of the team is a full year commitment, and members are selected from Fall try-outs. Clinics will be held before try-outs to teach basic stunting techniques, sideline cheers, and fight song motions. In addition to stunting and sharp motions, members of the team are encouraged to have strong tumbling skills.
